I'm thinking About a 5.4 swap, started asking around a bit and was told the 5.4 would be a drop, plug and play.
So I was wondering if anyone here knew anything about it being that easy, also would anyone happen to know where I can pick up a 5.4 for about $500 running or not, around st.louis mo

Its not a drop plug and play. Its a plan ,drop, plug, find an intake solution, modify the exhaust, tune it and then potentially play.

If your going to do a 5.4 swap go with a 4v one otherwise don't even waste your time IMO ... For what it's worth I'd just 4v 4.6 swap it ... Straight forward it's lighter then a 5.4 no deck heigh issues with headers etc

Yep. Forget about headers! Its possible and others have done it with great success but pure challenge.

I think its a great swap.

Only issue is intake options. Which you have 3.
    1. Hps hard baller
    2. Adapter plates (haters will hate)
    3. Full custom.

Depending on your goals it may not be the swap for you. Do you have any mods?

I agree! Its a great swap for driving car. The bottom end driving torque is pure love! Their is no sponge pedal of power when driving. 5th gear feels like 3rd
