Sounds like my old engine before it threw a wrist pin a month later. I stabbed the throttle and it went away for a while and came back with a fury.

Damn brother, I'm sorry.

If it goes away when it's hot.. it could just be piston slap. Many Cobra's go like that forever.

Does it at all times.

Not driving it until its fixed.

Only oil mod tube mod was chopping the windage shelf off to give clearance for the canton windage tray.... i also bent it a small bit in order to give it more clearance with the canton pan (very small bend) ... it also jas a pan with baffle doors to prevent starvation from hard turns or acceleration....

I gave this thing my best shot... and all my money. Now im out of money and it starts knocking..... damn.

Sucks for sure Chris. Yours sounds much worse than mine did, tore mine down tonight to find the first and last main bearings and a few of the rod bearings eaten up, alot of shavings in the pan and i'm pretty sure my crank is probably ruined.

You could use the 3v full windage tray instead. I was never a fan of the Canton style.

That sucks man...does it run ok if you drive it?

At this point its already broke if its broke so I dont know why you would be worried about driving it...lol

Id try driving it and see how it feels....whats the worst that can happen?

i hate driving a non-flawless car. i parked it for two weeks because of an exhaust leak putter. lol.

it drives fine. no power loss, but defiantly dont push it due to the sound.

lol...yea, I know what you mean but at this point what are you gonna do?

obviously you're gonna dig into it....why not get on it and see what happens?

Hell, atleast if something breaks you will actually know where the problem is. lol

For all you know there could be no real problem, maybe its just piston slap?

YEAAAAaaaaa........... .. .. no.

if that cracka blows up... garbage will float from cylinder to cylinder ruining the valves, the seats, the other spark plugs, perhaps even make its way into the upper intake via the EGR, tarnishing the supercharger lobes. . ... AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
