Spent most of yesterday Detailing our new ride.

2009 Edge.
I really like this car, perfect size, great to drive and has all the options to boot.
We picked it up a few months back, wanted to get it sealed up before the snow flys, which should be next week.

Didn't get before pics, srry guys.
Hood was way scratched, had some sort of over-spray or some shit on all top services, few chips but all in all it came out great..

This paint color is called "Cinnamon" it's a really pretty color, lots of shade variance and metallic.

Steps:
-Washed
-Claybar'd
-Medium cut polish, rotary with CG V36, orange hex pad
-Fine polish, Orbital with CG V38, orange hex pad
-Poorboys black hole glaze, by hand (hood, second coat of glaze, CG ez cream cause it had lot's of scratches. (polished the hood 4x)
-1 coat Jetseal by hand
-1 coat 50-50 wax (saving wet obsession for my car :)

wiping off the jetseal, thought "hey I should'a taken some pics"

My wife Heather did help with the whole job which i thought was cool.
She went behind me with the orbital and did a good job. Cut a 12 hr job down to about 8 hrs.

Here's some finished shots:

The Edge is probably one of my favorite Ford SUVs, next to the newer Explorers.

Looks like you did a great job. The color shined up real nice.

Nice work man. I've never seen that color on an Edge before, damn it looks good lol. I had the joy of detailing my neighbors bright red edge with those chrome 20s.. Never again lol, was a huge pain in the ass. Anyways the reflection is crystal clear, paint looks glossy as fawk. Thumbs upski to you

Thanks man, I Totally agree. Perfect crossover size. It's the one the other brands copy.

Thanks man, Detailing is a lot of work, but the result makes it worth the effort. (and the right products)
Why was it a PITA?

Great work as always!

Thanks Justin, just trying to catch up with you!

The only pain in the ass was the wheels. They were so caked up in brake dust, it took forever to make them really clean. After I got done with em, bling bling, they were blinding haha.

I sprayed some purple power on my fathers wheels, I've never seen brake dust melt away so quickly. Granted, he just has cheap truck wheels, not so sure I'd go after painted wheels with it.
