Ladies and gentlemen of them interwebz. This is a thread to document the progress of my 2013 MCA Cyclone V6.

The name stems from wanting to be a subtle car that has the capacity to hurt some feelings, but still maintain daily drivability and reliability.

Upgrades so far are as follows:

· BBK Short tubes (big difference through the range)
· BBK Catted Mid pipe, Magnaflow Axlebacks and added in a set of stock GT resonators to kill some of the cyclone rasp, definitely sounds awesome.
· Steeda Cold Air intake with a 93 tune from Bama (enormous difference, especially on the auto)
· Plasti dipped the MCA grille black to clean up the look.
· This past weekend we just installed the convertible light bar with the brake lights. Highly recommended for convertibles. Easy install and it looks AWESOME!
· A few here and there interior dress up things, door lock pins, defrost vents on the doors.

Still to come:

A friend of ours runs a hydrographics shop, and has offered to do some complimentary work if we agree to be in his commercial. So on the schedule for this week is to hydrodip the center console area (it's all scratched up) in a metallic blue with a marble pattern on top, as well as dip the radiator cover in performance white with marble. Good place for stickers (MOAR POWAH!!!!!)

Also here awaiting install are interior door handles (the stock ones look chintzy, these are full aluminum pieces), MMD Hood Struts (Mustang ones).

Future plans include:

· Maximum motorsports lower control arms
· Aluminum drive shaft
· Ported upper and lower from Super Six coupled with a BBK throttle body
· Chin spoiler from Latemodel
· And eventually some mild lowering and sway bars

Besides welding in the resonators, all work has been completed by g36 monkey (go figure), whitey, and silverv6 and myself of course :)

Thanks for looking, and I know, no thread is complete without pics so.....

This thread reminds me that I need an awesome girlfriend.

I also read the first sentence in Jeremy's voice and it kinda creeped me out.

Wait what did I do? Inspiration for painting the grill? :dontknow:

The pics there are the ones you photochopped for us, I printed them to show everyone and get feedback, then said "well, it's here, and it's paper, lets use it" haha

And don't be creeped out by my voice pls :(

Glad she finally made a thread :D

Ha, don't worry, there will be plenty of typos and bad grammar coming from me! Well, unless g36 monkey edits my posts!

Anyways, we finally got around to adding some oh so sexy hood struts the other day!

So we've been pretty busy lately. On the convertible it's pretty tough to put stickers anywhere good, window space is limited because I'm worried about the rear quarter window vinyls being rubbed off by going up and down, and the rear window is about the size of a basketball, so I don't want to clog up the room to see there.

To avert this crisis, we turned to hydrographics on the radiator cover to create a nice canvas, and while there we got some of the interior pieces done as well. Now there's a nice spot to add all of the extra horsepower :)

Then we installed billet aluminum door handles. While they are a slight pain, still about 1,000 times easier than SN95 handles. We are finding these cars pull apart easier than the SN95, which is amazing because of how much more "quality" they seem.

We also painted the calipers and brackets. The calipers are blue and brackets black. Trying to get some blue accent outside the car (my favorite color), the next step is probably a large blue super snake style stripe. Also planning on getting the Mustang Club of America striping custom done in the same blue. We will see what the future holds though.

After all that we installed little Pony LED's in the cup holders. Something probably no one will notice, but I thought they were cool so it happened!

Last but certainly not least, I finally had a dream come true this past Saturday. I won an award as one of the top 7 Late model cars (05-14) in a show HEAVILY dominated by newer cars. A lot of brand new Roushs (Roushes?), Shelbys, etc. didn't take home awards but this little V6 did and I was really proud people took time to notice the things we've done :)

Anyhow, no thread is complete without pics:

Nicee! Everything looks really good. What kit did you use for the blue on the calipers? Looking to do mine in blue, getting bored of the red lol.

Didn't use a kit. Went and got duplicolor engine enamel. It works just as well as caliper paint, and has more color options. I used the primer then the color after a good scrubbing. I recommend removing calipers to do it correctly, but these cars apparently need a computer to unlock the ABS module to bleed if too much air gets in the lines, and I was saying F that so we didn't haha.

We bought clear but ended up returning it. Even following flash times on the cans instructions, the clear milked up immediately and the white wouldn't go away so we just stuck with color. You might have a different experience if you want to clear.

Initially I was worried it would be too busy, but I think it came out awesome, and we get compliments on it regularly. Not to sound cliche but the pics really don't do any justice. The blue inside looks absolutely incredible in the sun!

Anyhow, thanks again for looking :)

Well, she wanted DIB (she's jealous of your car haha) but would have had to wait 6 weeks for one to be ordered to her liking, and that time just wasn't available. So we are adding some blue here and there to cool her needs :) Roush makes a set of seat covers with blue suede inserts, which may be a future option :)

Otherwise the goal is a decently quick easily daily driven with amenities car :)

Hydrographics blow my mind... Your car is looking badass

Yea they are the coolest thing! He let me dip some stuff for other customers!

Alright guys so it's been a while since we have updated this thread, and well, a lot has happened! So, here goes:

Lowering Springs
Wheel Spacers
Stripes
Front Lip
Painted the front lip
Stripes on the lip
Painted and striped strut bar
Lower Control Arms
Panhard Bar
3.73Gears and a girdle
Steeda Intake and tune
BBK Throttle Body

Pics are in no particular order. Will end with some pics from our private track rental yesterday. My best time was a 13.91 however I had a 200 pound passenger. I think I could have done a little better if the temps were not in the 90s! Side note, this car sounds freaking awesome. Best sounding 3.7 I have heard, even without my bias. It got a number of compliments at the track rental.

Anyhow, here's a slew of pictures, in no particular order:

Headers Installed!

Also unsure if I ever posted how she and I met. Basically, she came out one morning and found her car on blocks. Posted pics up on Reddit, and one of them suggested going to a local club to try to get some help. She did and a mutual friend ended up giving her a set of wheels to borrow so she could get towed to get new wheels. He invited her out to a cruise to a racing museum, and I attended that cruise, and we hit it off :)

These are not new pictures. Do not freak out.
Ok I'm done being cute now ;p

Loving this thread! Im doing a bunch of hydro stuff also..i noticed you have the radio bezel area done also. From what ive seen so far isnt that an electrical panel attached to the back? im guessing the from part can detach from it. I have yet to pull mine off to look. but i will soon enough once i figure out what route i want to go with my radio since its basic (no sync) right now.
