Mod max seems to be a reputable company! They appear first on the modular seen. The rods im using are Chinese ebay. They spec'd out dead nuts with each other and within tolerance. At the time $320 shipped.
Mod max directly..... I never brought the issue up to them..... I bought them and let them sit for awhile and once I had them at the machine shop it all came to light..... I hate talking bad about a product when I didn't give them a chance to correct the issue. I would buy the 5.4 mod max rods from them but for 4.6 I would do coyote rods for sure. Lighter and half the cost just need ARP bolts.
JLP spec Manley rods are pretty affordable too....

Not blabing a companies darkside all over the net says alot about you. Toooo many nut swingers, follow a band wagon of brutal attacks, ...even when they never purchased from the company.
Plus one on the coyote rods!

Lots of successful lightning swap out there! They wicked bad to, but dang they are tall. I love me a whining Eaton! ...one cry baby I can live with
Good God you could hear that thing coming a mile away. Is it possible to put a different intake on the blower so it doesn't stick up that high? Maybe a cobra?
I've been considering doing a 5.4 swap with a tork tech kit for a while now. Especially after I saw this one.
My plan is to get one of the 5.4 blocks with the forged crank and get some forged rods and pistons. Then slap a blower cam on it with the tork tech kit and stock heads, and call it a day for a while.
There is a company called magnum powers (mp) they make cases and you take your Eaton internals and put them in it...... loudest blower I have heard.... louder then my ported, pulled, and silencer hole filled eaton. Cogs would make it amazing
