a 393 with the matching components, good H/C/I , good transmission, and good rearend should easily dip in the low 12s, high 11s. many things matter like suspension, gears, and weight of car. but a fully streetable 393 on a 94-95 3700 lb stang should be deep in the 12s.

^Before I got off topic, that would of been close to what I would have said.

ls1 will run low 12s with 4.10s and DRs + a good driver... mid 13s stock...

a 393 with traction can hit 11s with a good driver

So i'll still be in like the high 12's??! :help2:

read it again pal... lol

LS1(stock) mid13s good driver
LS1(gears+DRs) low 12s w/ good driver
393(H/C/I + built lower end) 11s easy w/ good driver and traction... 10s with fantastic driver and completely redone suspension

Well i had a 98 LS1 and I got a 13.0 @ 109 mph with edelbrock longtubes, off-road pipe, and a catback, airlid. NOT BAD considering the damn thing couldn't hook worth shit. They have great potential out of the factory thats for sure. The trap shows the power it was making but i never had the time to put on some DR's and run some mid 12s. It was an auto too.

just throwing my experience with them in there.

You could get a 347 to run those numbers. A 393 should be a 10 second motor.

it's possible I could dip a 393 into the 10's but it's gonna be a street car. I want it to run well enough it could be my daily driver if I wanted it to be. Sooner or later it will be seeing boost also so then with the right suspension I would be very surprised to see it stay out of the 11 second range
