its on the reverse side of your trunk lid. pop your trunk and look on the backside of your trunk lid. you will see it
you mean the 94-95 cobra wing, i dont see why taking off the wing would help, hmm ill go outside in a few minutes and see what i can come up with for you, just to clear it up he didnt mean the 96-98 with the third brake light in the trunklid O0
I dont think you can replace them. I remember seeing a post a long time ago about it, the guy ended up having to buy a new wing. I hope for your sake he was wrong. they are all LEDS in there.
ok i retract my previous statement you do have to remove the wing theres a little plate under the light that removed with two phillips heads screws that should give you acces to the actual bulb.
ok well guess there leds lol thanks scar, ive never replaced mine before, either way i think he should have a clear idea as to how to change them now gl
I just did a search on the subject. THey are not replaceable... blame ford. http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62374&highlight=3rd+brake+light
I couldn't open that link....could some one post it. in NJ i could get a ticket for that light not working!!! i may have to cover the lense....or......make a fix. JT
basically it says the light is NON replaceable. THat is the reason ford didnt put them on the later model cobras. You have to buy a new wing, or remove the wing and new trunklid with a brake light in it.
yeah the spolier comes off, and ford has discontinued the led lamp for a couple years now. may find one on ebay, or you can get a entire spolier and lamp from california mustang. it sucks.....but, we gotta do what we gotta do..lol
if it helps any if ur interested im selling my trunklid with light and wing its black dont know what color your car is let me know if its anything that helps. O0 goodluck
