Yeah basically. It's a rebuild kit for your t-lok (differential). Over time it wears out, and you get the one tire fryer. This kit will make both spin again.

Bingo Joe nailed it on the head. You need a rebuild. My opinion would be, since you have it apart do it anyways. So since you already are having a yolo (you only left one) issue, definitely go ahead and rebuild it

Man! that's a steal! let me know the results dude, I was thinking of going 4.10 as well.

I did 4.10s in mine awhile ago when it was automatic. It was a huge kick in the ass compared to the stock 2.73s. Very fun to drive! Swapped it to a 5 speed and it was insane, spun 1-3 easily.. But with the 5 speed, 4.10 gears make first gear almost non existant, ans you shift every 5 seconds, high rpms on the highway. I went 3.55 and love em. Woulda went 3.73 but they weren't in stock

4.10's are the ideal gear for a mod motor. I'm not as familiar with your 5.0 Joe but it sounds like the mod motors, why even bother with first. I have a 73 in my gt and I love them. Definitely wish they were a 4.10 tho, I miss mine.

4.10s are fun but I'm thinking of changing to 3.73s with a 5 speed. Like others have said, 1st gear is useless.

Nice, once I'm done with the exterior of my car, I gotta grab a 4.10 or 3.73. My car's automatic too which sucks so the 4.10 would make up for it. God I miss 5-Speeds :sad5:

get 2 quarts of Royal Purple 75W-90 Gear Oil, and one small bottle of Ford Racing Friction Modifier. All 3 bottles go in the rear end

Oh shit yeah definitely run 4.10's in an auto man. And yupp Joe's got you covered, 2 bottles of diff fluid and 1 friction modifier. The brand is, IMO, personal preference. I like Redline's best, but like I said, it's personal preference. Use whatever you like
