4.6 VS 5.0 *Now engine's*

The sound of the engines are diffrent. Which do you think sounds better?

I say nothing like some Flows on a 4.6
Or a Terminator cobra... Check streetfire. MEAN SOUNDING cars...
Dunno what Terminators run in their exhaust tho... I gues most guys put borla??

I mean correct me if im wrong, but i ALWAYS hear the tone on a 4.6 sounds so awesome.
That or everytime i hear one it's just got flows.

Theres just a TONE or some kindof exhaust that mustangs have that im in lvoe with, and it's always heard on the 4.6s

Nothing like a Cammed 5.0 tho.

I personally can't stand the sound of 4v's. I think they sound like shit. (and I own one) But then again I've always loved the "mustang sound" which 4v's don't have. :dunno:

I like that sound, although its so racey.
I LOVEEEE the Mustang sound, thats one thing Nobody will EVER take away. Mustangs are the best sounding cars ever made.
I just don't know which one sounds like which.
I think its the 5.0 sounds more muscle and the 4.6 is more of a tone.
I think???

Both of them CAN sound like shit with a muffler that doesn't go. I love 5.0s and prefer them over the 4.6.

I mean that I've heard 5.0s and 4.6s sound like shit when stupid people use a weird exhaust. I've heard several mustangs sound like old beat up truck. Overall, I think the 5.0 and 4.6 can sound equally as awesome if set up with the right exhaust. My buddy has an x pipe on his 5.0 and it sounds good, but it don't beat the sound of an h pipe. And an I'm not too crazy what how an h-pipe sounds like in a 4.6, x pipe all the way for them.

i love the sound of my offroad hpipe backed by 2 chamber flows on my 4v 4.6.. but, it doesn't compare to an 03 cobra's 4v.. those just have the best sound ever produced.. IMO.. unless we are going back to some old school stangs from the 60's and 70's..

but, there is one sound i love.. a cammed pushrod motor sounds amazing...

5.0's sound amazing. I plan on getting rid of the catted h and getting an o/r prochamber. I might pick up some bassani baffles too to mellow it a little bit if needed. The bbk cats it has now have been welded on the front corners and it has a tinny sound sometimes so i wonder if something is loose inside the cats.

The 5.0 has a sound all its own and is recognizable to any mustang fan...my 2V 4.6 sounds very good with the X pipe and Borla catback but my 5.0's had a deeper rumble.

I like the way all mustangs sound to be honest, but the 5.0 does have a deeper meaner more angry sound where as the 4.6 has a
lighter more crisp tone, but they both sound good as feck with the right exhaust set up. :boink:

Anyone that knows mustangs knows the 5.0 sounds better. With my o/r x and flows it sounds alot like the race scene in bullit I think. If you've never seen that movie or at least the clip (find it on youtube) it sounds sweet.

yea... i need to dig it up. But i gues yall are right im just thinking of that certain exhaust that makes a mustang a mustang. lol..

My mac 2 chamber gives me a race tone more than a mustang tone. but the o/r H helps out alot

4.6 4v catted x pipe and with bassani or slp lm2s FTMFW!!!!.
2nd would be 5.0 with o/r h and chamber mufflers, flows, mac and hooker.
