Recently bought a Lokar braided trans dipstick for my 4r70w on 98 mustang, it says to mount directly to the firewall but im unsure how, I was thinking some good ol’ 5/16” head metal self tapping screws would work good for this but Id like to hear your guys opinion and what youve done to mount yours. I feel the self tappers might rattle themself loose eventually.

This is a 98 gt with a mach 1 4.6 DOHC but same body and transmission
There should be a bolt hole or bolt next to the dip stick like mine
I used a wire harness clamp on mine and secured to fire wall

Also make sure you have enough hose from that point on fire wall to transmission
Mine was so short you had to reach behind the engine block and grab the stick
I had to refab the one that was sent to me
Making the hose tube longer

Correct me if im wrong but it looks like you have it mounted to the stud that comes out of the firewall from the heater core?
