5 Speed Computer

Ok guys, i'm swapping out my auto for a five speed, and i'm thinking about the computer... Would it be easier to buy a 98 5 speed computer or get mine retuned??? If i get another computer will that mess up the security system or key fob for the car??? thanks

I would think you can change all those parameters in a custom tune.

yea i know that but the closest place that can tune it for me is like an hour and a half away and i have no way of towing it.

are you buying an Xcal or already have one? A good tuner can set you up with a tune via email or shipping your Xcal to him so you can then drive the car to him for the final tune.

lol ok well let me add 300 bucks or so to my total then. Man these things keep adding up. The guys i'm wanting to tune will Dyno tune it and install the chip with chip included for 400 bucks. I think thats a deal. I might have to just find a trailor.

you could probably rent a trailor at Uhaul for a day for not too much money. They have those ones you just drive the front tires on and strap in.

wouldn't that mess up the tranny ??? even in neutral that just doesn't seem good to me. O well it will be ok, ill find a way to get it there i guess


O and what does everyone think of the Sniper software and stuff? i just noticed them...
