Also lutter94 yes the handheld fixes the speedo but I didn't know if the old gear style would output the correct signal for the 99+ gauges to run properly. I agree a speedcal with be the best option here.

When I went 99 into a 94, the speed read 120+ at like 30-45 mph, lol. Does the tuner take account for tire size and gears? Or can you "fine tune" it so it is correct? I just had to play with the gps for a few passes do some interpolating, and double check.

The connectors are the same.....

i don't know of a way to "fine tune" the speedo with the handheld. I know it will adjust for tire size and rear gears. Maybe he can plug it in and try a bunch of different tire sizes or gear ratios?

Ok so I just put my T5 up under the car and the crossmember looks wayy off.

Anyone ever seen this? It looks like my engine and trans have to go back about 1/2 an inch. I put those bolt in just to hold it up and because they lined up perfect.

I used my 1994 AODE crossmember with the 99 V6 T5 transmission. I had no idea it was gonna go in, I expected your scenario. However, I had to use my original trans mount, the new poly one need the holes a little egged out for it to bolt up...

lutter94 so you put a 94 mount on a 99 car? I thought those were made way different.

my trans is from a 99. It somehow bolted up to my 94 GT parts

Yes they all bolt to the transmission the same. The trans cases are built the same but the way that the crossmember bolts to the body is one way for 94-98 and a different way for 99-04.
