5spd swap help

At work we have a 95ish GT impounded.. motor looks to have some troubles and there about to get the title to it. If they don't get it running there going to put in the back of the Junkyard and sell parts off of it. Has the completely 5spd setup still in it, and i'm really hating the automatic in my 98. I found a C4 and checked the difference between the bellhousing and the mounting on the back of a police interceptor motor we had out of a 02 crown vic on the shelf. All that was missing was one bolt in the block, otherwise it would have bolted up. Can I use the T5 (or is it a T45 in a 95 GT?) bellhousing and the like to get my car going right.. I was going to buy some longtubes the summer so I can swap it in the at the same time I do the 5spd swap. Any help is appreciated!

94-95's used T5s.
As far as making it work, I don't know about using that bellhousing.

bell housing on a t5 has a different bolt pattern. t45s are 4.6 specific so yea it won't work

I read it as you were trying to use the C4 in the 98.
But yeah, the T5 and the 4.6 won't go together, at all.

i thought he was trying to put a t5 in a 95 ??? o well 4.6 needs t45 or t56

well thanks for the info.. damn near dont care for the 4r70w but i'll live with it till i can find some deal locally

save your money and buy a torque converter / cooler / and shift kit. and you could beat any 5 speed. :)

lol ok. Just letting you know i had a pretty much stock car out running the piss out hard top 5 speeds at the track. I would usually hear them churp second when i was like a car ahead. I just know with those mods you will always out run a manual with the same mods as you. No problems.
