5w20?

i used 5W-20 for the first time on my last oil change...and im gonna use 10W-30 from now on.

Ford uses 5W20 to try and get better MPG.
5W30 will work just fine.

but whats the difference?
i mean does it really do anything differently?

isnt the less weight it is, the better because less mass rotation or something, i read it somewhere.

like isnt 0w30 like the recommenced best for performance and gas efficiency?

im trying to learn about oil here lol

It would have voided my warranty on my 02 F150 if I used anything but 5-20 I was told, at least it would be a big hassle...I got stuck once & did try some 10-30 but boy did my lifters clatter on startups in the mornings! I found some 5-20 & changed back after only 300 miles & the clatter went away!
