Quick question. I'm replacing the slave cylinder on my dads 68 Mustang GT. Pulled the old one off and let the fluid drain from the hoses that were connected.

Now, for putting the new one back on, I know it's not going to be as simple as installing it, fill it up with fluid and off I go....

My question is, anything specific I need to do to make sure it operates properly? Will I need to get air out of the lines?....etc.

Any input is appreciated!

I would lift the tires off the ground and cycle the steering from lock to lock a few times to purge the air out of the lines.
