Someone care to inform me why the intake mani is good till 93? Something change that would make it incompatible with an SN? And it looks rather raised, need a cowl hood to run it?

Itll run on a 95 with the elbow, or the fox TB swap.

You need a cowl hood to run this intake on an sn95 I have a 2000 and had to cut the hood out under the stock scoop but it is all setup to run on 94-95 now as I installed the 94-95 heater tube and all sensors but I was going to run 75mm fox t body but you can use 94-95 with elbow.
