Is the tag still on the diff cover? What are the numbers/letters?

Posi doesn't determine the ratio. Read the tag on the diff cover if it's still there. Otherwise just count how many times the pinion turns each time you turn the tires one full rotation.

All GT/Cobras have a 8.8 trak-lok. OEM ratios will be 2:73, 3:08, 3:27. Some exceptions to this. Aftermarket can be a lot of different ratios.

Make sure BOTH tires are rotating together when doing this.

The pinion turns at a different ratio on an open diff when doing this?

there's slippage in the axel on the open diff. and that will throw off the ratio when counting the DS rotations

If you block the other tire, is that enough?

no you'll still have an internal slippage. (open diff)

Do you have the origional tag on the diff?
