Hey everyone! Now that the final designs and prototypes are done, we are all ready to go with our GT500 Brembo Kit. I know that a lot of you have been waiting very patiently, and I have spoken to many of you personally over the phone, so I know that we have had a huge demand for this kit to finally be brought to market. I'm excited to say that we're finally rolling into the production stage!

Pre-orders are subject to discounted pricing of $375 (list price: $450). We expect to ship the first production kits on October 1st. They will ship out on a first come, first serve basis, so we will ship the kits out in the order that we receive the requests.

Here's some info pulled from our website:

Announcing our GT500 Brake Kit!

This kit includes the necessary hardware to mount 4 piston GT500-spec brake calipers to 94-04 Mustang spindles.

Kit contents:
2x Adapter brackets
2x Sets of hardware
2x 0.75" custom wheel spacers

NOTES:
A set of 3/4 inch custom spacers (included) are required to use this kit. This will add to your wheel's offset, so plan accordingly.
This kit requires the use of 18" wheels. Since wheels vary from brand to brand, we cannot guarantee fitment for any specific set of wheels. Based on Ford's specifications listed here, the Ford Racing M-1007-S1895 and M-1007-S1895B 18" wheels, or equivalent, have been verified to work.

Our kit includes the necessary adapter bracket, spacer, and hardware, but not the calipers, rotors, lines, or pads. You will need to source the following:
S197 GT500 4-piston Brembo calipers
S197 (2007-2012 GT500 or 2012-2013 Boss 302) 13.97" brake rotors
SN95 Cobra or stainless steel brake lines

We expect to ship the first kits October 1st. They will be shipped on a first-come, first-served basis, meaning
that your pre-order will secure your spot in line.

Feel free to send me an email at [email protected], or give us a call at (916) 467-9319 if you have any questions.

why the spacer? is it to keep the spokes from contacting the caliper

Unfortunately for "lug mount" OE style calipers, the spacer is a must. It is actually custom made to go behind the rotor to space it out and create proper alignment with the caliper.

I have a rear 14 inch Venom bracket if you want the specs from it.

Same with mine..

Why couldn't the caliper bracket have been made to bring the caliper back instead of the spacer bringing the rotor forward?

I bet the rotor would contact the spindle without that spacer. There is not much room from a OE 13" rotor to the spindle, let alone the S197 offset brake rotor.

Pete, any options with 2 piece rotors?

Thanks, I have a little different idea for the rear. The plan is to be able to run front brakes (specifically 13" cobra, but it would work with GT too) on the rear, so that when you upgrade the fronts, you just get the rear adapter too and move your front brakes to the rear. Same calipers, pads, and rotors.

to bad the spacers were needed as that must have raised the price...

My thoughts exactly. I tried really hard to figure out a way to do it without a spacer, but the only option to avoid the spacer would require modifying the spindles, which I wanted to stay away from because it leaves a lot more room for error.

Same with mine..

I wish it could have, I've spent hours trying to get around it. I'll post some more pics/drawings later that might explain it better. Essentially the locations of the bolts would interfere with each other.

Yup. Any GT500 spec 2 piece rotor will work. I worked out a deal with AP Racing / stillen to be able to provide their brand new GT500 spec j-hook rotors, but I have not locked down the details yet. They're far and above my favorite rotors on the market.

Put me down for a set.. ill order next week. .

Awesome, will do.

I thought I saw someone that made one with a spot for the small add on brake that wasn't too big of a deal. We can joke a racecar doesn't need one but the real world is not as funny and for that price I would hope it had an option for it myself.
