I agree. I was pretty disappointed to hear this copyright rule forced the single line to be dots. It ruins it for me.

I've seen a couple new edges that have them and they really don't look bad. I still want to see them lit up and on a few different colors before I completely condemn them.

For Anyone interested in buying these....

I've just confirmed with AM: Due to Copyright laws, the outline IS NOT solid like Fords....

They light up like this:

(99-04 Raxiom Icon LED tails)

Disappointing

I was considering them, but that's as tacky as these...

Exactly, I was seriously considering them for myself also until i found out the taillight was lined with dots. DOTS!?!?!?!? DAMMIT. :tongue3:

I hear that, Ive seen them on a black 03-04 cobra and it pulls it off. Im sure the "dots" may work with a small percentage of builds out there, but I feel like the solid line would open a broader market for the 94-04s.

Hopefully this bit of information helps anyone here @ sn95forums that is considering these for their build.

I'm sure one of us will modify them at some point to have a solid led "glow"....

I will wait to see them lit up on a black sn95 before I decide, but I sorta' like them!

I saw them on a parked new edge today and I didn't hate them. That being said, I'd really need to see them on a curvier sn95 in person to really know if I liked them or not. Our stock 96-98 tail lights really do look good though, I haven't seen an aftermarket set I'd spring for in place of them. If the exports came stock on our cars, I bet everyone would be spending tons of $ on the stock sets we already have because they look better IMO

Guess they are not all that bad looking, be interesting to see with sequential LED's in the turns. The outer on each side seems like it is a bit less visible than the others however.

They may work with black or something, for me personally I wont be dropping $350 on them to hope the dots optically form a solid line.

I might have to be a crash test dummy for these on my black car. Once summer rolls around anyway...

Lol I guess I was more referring to an ebay/china brand making a copy of this and redistributing it on ebay. Looks like this still a raxom taillight. Not worth the money imo. Still like the look of factory but thats me.

Yeah that's still the raxiom tails. Someone's trying to make a quick buck off an eBay noob. I'm with you though I wouldn't give 350 for a set. I'd get the export tails before I spent that money on those! However the more and more I see them I do like them just not for that kind of money.
