What are the main differences between these motors? My buddy is tryna get rid of his 94 GT 5.0 and my f150 needs a new motor. Any advice?

The F150 has a different intake, cam and firing order and I believe pistons. It is a roller block though.

You can use the mustang motor but you will either have to change the firing order or swap the cam.

A friend of mine dropped a 95gt motor in his 94f150. Pulled the complete motor intake and all and the ecm. Harness pretty much was the same. I think he got headers built for an f150. It was a flare side short bed. Made for quite the fun truck.

Are both 5.0/302. Then it should be a direct bolt in. The car will have a better induction and rated higher HP. Trucks are seriously de tuned. I haveN a 92 with the 351. And it was rated at 173 HP. Vise the same era car motor rated over 200.

Most of that is due to the cam profile and intake differences. They setup the tricks for less horse and more torque .
