Hi,

I am new here I took this '94 GT on trade for a high milage lifted blazer that I had.

As far as the car is concerned it has 126K miles the engine and trans have about 11K miles on them. The guy I got the car off of did nothing to the car except burn the clutch up and park it for two years (roughly 2k miles). He bought the car off of a friend, who also did not build it. The car has no rust, however the paint is chipping and it also needs door pins on the drivers side. The clutch cable is loose at the fire wall, it has the UPR billet quadrant clutch cable adjuster.

Anyways it seems to have the D&D aluminum bell housing for the Cobra T56, pro 5.0 shifter, UPR tubular K-member and unknown sfc's, UPR caster/camber plates, S351 wing (not my favorite I want an S281), Eibach drop springs.

For the Engine:

It needs some sorting too, there is a surge at idle and a slight miss?, a vacuum leak, a funky change vacuum to positive intake pressure when it surges, as if the valves are not set correctly. It needs re-tuned for sure.

Aftermarket engine parts:
Decent hyd. roller cam - Not sure of specs
Ported Aluminum Heads - Not sure of brand I found the information of who ported them but cant make out the scribe marks with a mirror.
Pro-Flo 75mm MAF
BBK/Edelbrock 70mm throttle body
Comp Polymers intake plenum with composite spacer
SVO intake base and Elbow
Crane Gold 1.6 RR
30lb Red top inj.
Ford Fuel rails
STD 4.00" bore

Here are some pics.

I should have the car back together tomorrow, as the clutch kit should be in early. I orderd a RAM Powergrip HD Clutch Sets 98794HD, good up to 650hp. While I am waiting for UPS I will grind the RAM billet flywheel.

nice. my little brother bought a 95 gt turned into a saleen clone this summer. the 351 ended up with messed up pistons so we are stroking it out to a 393. would love to swap a t56 in place of the t5. need to research it out...lol

Am I confused? You said you got the car from someone who had done nothing to the car, and he got the car from someone who had done nothing to it... but it has a 351 and a T56? Who did that in this list of persons who have done nothing to the car? Either way, f!cking awesome car. Keep it up. I can't wait until you get all the bugs worked out and put a vortec on it!

Let me clarify the owners. The past two owners only drove the car. The car has been passed around like an old whore from my understanding and the owner before the last two not including myself did a majority of the work. The engine was bought from someone already built, the trans was ordered directly from Tremec according to the part numbers, and the rest is unkown. I did notice that the car has some sort of GPS converter for the speedometer. there is no speedo cable on the trans, no wheel speed sensor, when the car spins the tires the speedometer does not reflect any wheel spin only acceleration.

Once I get out of college I plan on a purchasing two Precision PT-88/47 for my toys, one for the mustang and and the other will be on my '82 Camaro that is an LTx with a T56 and a single stage of juice with a progressive. There is no engine in it in the pic and the hood had not been fitted yet.

Damn cool project, and a good score, for sure. I'm glad you already have plans for some boost. I see good things in this pretty white stang's future.

I also see a nice set of 17" or 18" XXR 521's Matte Black and some nice limo tint. Just not right now. I am not a fan of the Bullit wheels or the s351 wing.

This is my current project at school that is. I am consulting the engine development since I transferred in. I didn't want a leadership position though but I did want some power ...

I am currently looking at doing the MegaSquirt II for the car. Here is the link to it http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/50-mustang-diyer-kit-package-p-309.html.

I figured it would simplify a lot of things and the simplicity will be worth it. Any suggestions?

I was looking at Moates Quarter Master and some of there other stuff but I think the MegaSquirt is the better way to go for only a few dollars more.

This is what is inlcuded:

  • (1) MS230-K MegaSquirt-II PCBv3.0 Kit
  • (1) mk-PWMIAC Modkit used to control PWM idle air control valve
  • (1) mk-pullup Pullup Resistors for needed mods
  • (1) MSHarness8 8' Pigtail Wiring Harness
  • (1) TuneCable6 Tuning Cable for MegaSquirt EMS
  • (1) decal161 Snazzy DIYAutoTune.com decal
  • (1) Free T-shirt, if you remember to tell us the size you want in your order comments (S, M, L, XL)

Does anyone know the part number for the Ford Clutch cable I am only getting part of the number from Ford. 7K553?

Also is it the same cable as the fox bodies?

The one I have on it now which came on the car is stretching real bad.

I have put about 150 miles on it so far it seems as it the engine is running in open loop rather than both open and closed which is causing it to run real rich?

I am thinking maybe exhaust leak which it does have. The ball flanges have come loose after driving it a little bit and I don't have my tools at my apartment in Pittsburgh like I do back home. It currently has the stock tune and TM40 computer. I checked that yesterday after I noticed how rich was after smelling it.

I am currently lost and I do not want to be throwing money at this thing left and right and have it being something simple. I am having an issue with a part throttle miss under any load however at or full throttle (WOT) or sitting in the drive way I am not experiencing it. Car ran fine until one day after some rain would not start and when it did this issue started after it fired up. Also if I disconnect the MAF the car runs fine full power no issues. I have been trying to diagnose this issue for a while but what I thought was going to fix it did not work.

As far as modifications done to the car I know for a fact that it is at least a 351W that is 0.030 (saw from a bore scope) over it could be a stroker but I am not sure as the previous owner did not know. TrickFlow Twisted Wedge heads, Crane 1.7rr's, unknown cam, SVO lower intake, Comp Polymers Upper Intake, SVO elbow, 30 lb inj., MSD 6AL, Accel TFI coil / MSD Street Fire coil

1. New Parts - Plugs, Ford Racing wires, Accel Coil, cap, rotor, fuel filter, multiple ICM's, PIP or stator, IAC.

2. I have checked the continuity and voltage on the MAF it was reading low at .7v at idle and it had a steady increase as throttle was increased no issues that I could visually see Pro-Flow 70mm calibrated for 30lb inj.

3. The Air Charge Temp sensor had low voltage to it maybe 3.5v not 5v which the book calls for???

4. Check timing and set at 10* and bumped up to 14* no change (was initially set at well over 20 for initial from P.O.) checked with Spout out

5. Fuel Pressure 35psi at idle as the throttle is cracked it drops to roughly 30psi then spikes to 39psi.

I would go back to stock ignition. Rule the MSD out of it.
