Car does not even try and start .
Seems to have fuel pressure 40 psi.
Fuel pump stays running with key off.
New ecm by radiator.
New starter power going to starter tested starter with jumper cables it works.

at the steering column, the wire that goes from the ignition cylinder(where the key goes) that then supplies power to all the items that are on with the key. possibly a red with light green stripe if my book is correct.

Thank you I will look at that this afternoon I could see how a older car like this that should make great sense.
I was also today going to check to see if the injectors are getting power to them .I believe that should tell me if the computer is working as well.

I just stopped in my garage where I store the car .
I just checked one injector with a test light real quick and it lights up.

did you must manage to catch the pic at the perfect time while it was flashing or did it just turn on and stay on? If it is flashing, try giving it a little gas while you crank it and see if a little more air helps it to start but this still does not explain the fuel pump staying on.

A test light is NOT, repeat NOT the tool to use to check injector firing. It can be used to see if you have current there (provided you stab the correct wire), but if you use it to check pulses....well, lets say good luck to you. Way too much resistance for that. That's why you use a Noid light to check injector pulsing. Each injector has one hot wire but the other side is grounded via the ECU.

Sure that makes sense .Somehow my logic was thinking that since I had power going to the injectors with the test light that they had power going to them.

I will pick up a noid tester Saturday and report back what I find out .I'm learning that's for sure.
Thanks you guys I do appreciate it.

Put the noid tester on it.No light up.
Keep in mind car does not crank over as well.

So I guess turn the key area apart and test wires ?
Never have had issues with anything like this before.
I suppose the ecu could have went bad as well.

the fact it lit the test light up and not the noid light is concerning to me. Just out of stupidity check all your fuses again and I mean ALL of them under the hood and dash to be sure you didn't pop one with that test light hooked up. The injectors have a specific resistance and if your lucky you just popped a fuse with the wrong resistance in there, if you are unlucky then the ecu might need replacing.

Using a test light is o.k. as long as you know you're testingt the input side ONLY of the injector harness. Each one has the same voltage and ECU does the triggering/ground to fire it. That's why you use a noid light, to keep from damaging other items.

We're you cranking the car when you tested with the noid light. If yes and you have confirmed the ccrm is good it's more than likely the PIP in the dizzy. As weendoggy said the ecm sends the ground signal to fire the injectors based off the feedback from the PIP.

You turn the key you get no crank at all the starter does not turn it over .
Brand new starter and I tested the main power wire going to the starter.
Along with jumping the starter with cables to get it to turn over.
New rebuilt ccm just put in 30 days ago.
