95 351 with a vortec

What kind of power are people makeing with these with a vortec say at 8 ta 9 psi with some lmr 185 heads ?

Well.

Let’s say 9:1 compression, single plane style intake, and a good exhaust? I would say 500-550 rwhp would be well within the realm of possibility.

That's not bad I kinda feel.witha 351 be nice to open up.that engine bay as much as possible.
I'd just leave it a stock short block.

I like Holley but I’d suggest against using the Sniper. I’ve read dozens of threads covering issue after issue with them.

Carb whould really keep it on the cheap side and hood clearance good.
Simple to work on carb supercharger 351 sounds pretty good for some reason

you should be able to get enough power out of it no matter what the numbers actually are. At least until your use to it, lose a race and then we all know how that goes.

185’s are a little on the small side for a 351w even . 10 psi on a stock bottom end 351 can make 600 relatively easily. The single plane style intakes made for efi like John has and I run on my combo really let these things breathe . My friends 351w stock bottom end with a 70mm turbo made 636 on 8psi. If your budget can swing some 205’s I’d go that route . I’m doing a 393 over winter with super victor efi intake 10-1 compression , ported victor jr 210cc heads, Anderson b451 and reusing my procharger d1sc . I won’t be surprised if it makes 700 on only 10psi . I plan on running 15psi .

Nobodies using a carb these are efi single plane style intakes here’s a pic of my combo so you can get a better understanding . Still fuel injected running a foxbody throttle body . This my 302 combo . I’ve gotta lower profile elbow for the 351w based combo about to go in my car .
