95 GT eating distributor rotors

So my 95GT is eating up distributor rotors. I pull the dis cap off and the metal piece off the rotor keeps snapping off. I've been threw 2x jp sorencen brand and an msd rotor. I also replaced the cap with an MSD cap.

This keeps happening when i get on it, especailly while hitting an on ramp.

any ideas what the cause is?

NVM. I think i have it figured out. If anyone cares, the timing was advanced 24 degrees...

Thats what i get for not checking it after i purchased the car.

Although you might have figure it out, check the plastic base the cap snaps onto. The two screws holding it on backed off on me and caused the rotors to snap. I never touched those screws but they backed most the way out. Also, check how much shaft play it has. My rotor was grinding into the cap (but not breaking rotors) and it was due to the distributor shaft having a whole lot of play.
