95 mustang gt dyno results (gt40 setup)

I took my car to Hpp performance yesterday and made some amazing numbers with the gt40 setup and would just like to recommend to some of you guys before ya blow big bucks on aftermarket heads. After everything was said and tuned my car dyno'd at 301Hp and 321lbs or torque!

Mods are;

e303 cam
gt40 heads
1.7 RR
ported upper/lower cobra intake
76mm C&L maf
C&L Cold air intake with K&N filter
70mm t.b
Msd dizzy
Msd 6al
msd cap,wires
bbk shorties
pullies
aluminum drive shaft
adjustable FPR
24lbs injectors
Off road Xpipe
2.5 cat back

those are the mods on the car before the chip/tune
After the chip/tune it was rated at 301hp and 321tq.

NICE! That is exactly what I am shooting for! Congrats on your successful install & tune....Now see how she runs & report back. If I get into the 12's I wil be happy. Also just as a side note post up how the mileage is on your setup...I am curious even though I know that is not a good criteria to worry about for a performance mod. What chip & tuning system did you use....I am leaning toward the SCT stuff. Thanks, & have fun!

TALK ABOUT TIMING.
I have a exploder gt40p motor in my garage waiting to for $ to put on my GT..
I'm also interested on the MPG change too since mine is a DD.
Did you upgrade the vlv springs?

Nice numbers! but those numbers seem inflated by the dyno operator.

your exact setup usually pulls around 260-290rwhp esp with small gt40 heads unported with a small e cam and shorty headers.

I could see if you had port work on the heads and long tubes then 290-300rwhp would sound more realistic.

Either way nice numbers and now I kno my motor is deff shot if your car makes 301rwhp with that setup

My car with

a 306 h/c/i
ported trickflow heads
10:1 compression
bored .30 over 306 c.i
comp xe 274 hr cam
long tube headers
only put down 295rwhp....

Very impressive! What were the #s before tune?

I've only seen GT40 #s close to this one time, it was 299/320 on a fresh motor, GT40 top/heads, e303, 1.7s, stock t/b, pulleys, headers, off road h, dumps, no tune. This was not a dyno reads high because it was during our NASA dyno day and everyone else's setup came in correctly. They didn't beleive the #s, so they put this car back on at the end with the same results.

But yea, normal power should be 260/300. That's what everyone else gets! Lucky bastard!

I agree that seems high. Have a copy of the dyno sheet?
