95 Mustang GT Turned Cobra Clone

Ok guys i have ordered what I hope is the final part on this car to complete what was started. The question I have is on the 95 Cobra front bumpers the fog lights are different I know. The question I have is, is all that is needed is the circle fog lights and and mounting hardware to swap out on front bumper. I have found out the story on this car I have picked up. It apparently started out as a GT Convertible. Then the owner found a wrecked Cobra and took everything over too the GT. Apparently the only thing that didn't come over was front bumper and brake calipers. Thanks to all the guuys who have given input and sold me much need parts. Can't wait to share pics once its all together.

Well got bumper installed and who knew changing over fog lights could be such a challenge. Now to get fender adjustment done and a new steering column for the one I bugged up trying to remove the factory steering wheel and I guess I can start getting the professional stuff fixed.

Did you find factory fog brackets?

Evil the brackets that came with the lights from outside vendor came with brackets. The problem I ran into was those brackets worked fine on drivers side but on the passenger side there was this VERY Large impact shock there. So for now I took the shock out and mounted without the shock brace until I can find the right brace if there is one. If there are Factory brackets that makes this work better I would love to find them and install.

Evil I spoke to the guy at the salvage yard and told him about the braces on the passenger side He said the piston was on convertibles and that most people just remove it. I have no clue how right this is and cant find any info else where.

Piston??? Are we still talking about fogs??

Yes Sir. On my 95 Vert on the passenger side there was a big impact piston that reads 25 lb impact that connects to the bracket on the gt fog lights which connects to the support bumper. I replaced all that with the cobra fogs but was wondering about that impact part and was told by the salvage guys that most guys just remove it.

Pics??? I’m not too familiar with all the goofy stuff they added to the verts.
