look up summit racing offroad x-pipes on ebay, they're reasonably priced and wont kill you on shipping

Funny thing is Ive had a upr x pipe on both my 3v and old 2v and loved them both. The only thing was that since I live in the same state that I have to pay for tax and all that garbage and Im literally right across the coast from them but shipping is some ungodly amount so it comes out to over 200 bucks shipped. But I can get a pypes x pipe, which is stainless over the upr's aluminized finish, for like 40 bucks less with the 6% off at american muscle. If nobody sells me an x pipe in the next month or so Ill either get the pypes or summit x pipes. I was thinking about waiting til closer to the holidays for a great deal but I want my x pipe now damnit lol.

I had a pypes x-pipe on my 02 and my 98 and both of them for like crap. I had to use a 3ft pry bar to get it installed.

Oh wow both of my upr x pipes fit fine. And I heard a lot of bad stuff about pypes but not recently. Theyve turned around recently though and the nice thing about them is all their stuff is 304 stainless.

My car came with a upr X and it unbolted just fine. Not sure about fitment. The upr was not adaptable to the width of a 5.4l.

Like I said both of mine bolted up no problem. What x pipe do you have with your 5.4?

None of the x-pipes where easily to modify. I ended up going with a jegs H-pipe. This way I could just add more pipe to the connecting H section for the added width. I also had to extend the pipe desending from the manifolds to clear the floor pan.

Oh ok. I was actually thinking about maybe doing a 5.4 swap one day. How do you like it? Is it boosted?

Not boosted, n/a. No hp, tons of torque! When it was running, the driving experience was fun even with 2.73 rear gears. Its got 274 comp cams and could still drag a house down it was so strong. Boosting would be the ultimate fun. All the 5.4l boosted swap I know of are crazy. Traction is a problem!
