New SN95 Owner here, plan on doing little mods here and there to change/update the overall feel of the car.

*UPDATE 1/17/18. So Photobucket killed all my pictures so here is a full album of the car. Stock to now with mods I've done.

Fixed ODO
Eibach Sport Springs
Caster/Camber Plates (JHM?)
FPP PI Intake
Termi Wheels w/Firehawk WideOvals 245F/275R

Complete All over Repaint
Antenna Shave/Delete
Cobra Headlights

Repainted the car fully a few weeks ago after working on making it the straightest 96 248a out there.
Full album of paint/old motor (updated 3/13/22)

*NEW MODS* as of 3/13/22
All of these mods/engine build can be found on either my IG @RioRed96 or my TikTok @garrittpwl
The list above is a far cry from whats been done to the car in the past few years. I'll start with the engine build as it was quite the undertaking. Hand built by myself.

99 F150 5.4 2v shortblock
OEM forged 5.4 crank
Callies Compstar Forged Rods/ARP rod bolts
Mahle Flat forged pistons (11:1CR)
Studded Mains/Heads
GT500 windage tray/gasket combo
FRPP High Volume oil pump/pickup
Hand ported PI heads
Oversized ferrea stainless valves
Titanium retainers, Comp beehive springs
Comp xe278 camshafts
Pro Products 4.6/5.4 intake adapters, port matched
Edelbrock Vic JR Intake w/Edelbrock fuel rails and 30lb Injectors
MMR adapter plate to SR Plenum (so all my factory accessories work, EGR, cruise control, IAC etc).
March Performance fluid balancer w/SR overized waterpump/alternator pulleys
Mcleod Aluminum flywheel with Ram HDX clutch
BBK Equal Length Shorty headers, BBK offroad hpipe, Pypes Violators catback,
Solid MMR motormounts
tuned by Blankenship in Louisville, KY
Thats sums up the engine.

Chassis is now on a BMR tubular front kmember and a-arms on strange coilovers w/200lb 12 inch springs
Rear end is 31 spline 4.10
rear lower controls arms are MMR adjustable spring perch still rocking eibach sportlines in back
Uppers are adjustable BMR

Stifflers fit system underchassis support/bracing
Stifflers trans crossmember

Interior got a 98 cupholder swap and a 3 gauge pillar pod
AFR/Oil Pressure/Coolant Temp gauges are all installed and functioning w/data log hooked up for AFR to my SCTx4

See end of thread for most recent updates *3/2024

Car has come a long way since I originally made this post and I just wanted to update it a final time.
If anyone ever has any questions I'm not on here much so hit me up on IG or facebook.

Video of the car running;

Looks good bro! When I was looking for another mustang I really wanted a 96 or 97 but instead I found my 02 gt. Keep us posted.

Oh and by the way, a turbo is stockish... Just a suggestion

Nice, thought gotta admit the display on the radio seems a bit...........kinky . I'm using a tape to aux also and rather despise it, going to have to go one of these days.

Seems like a valid argument I can use next time I ask the CFO if I can add a turbo or blower!

get new seats too, those are v6 seats, they wont hug you as nicely. also 98 cobras shouldnt be too hard to come by and they do look very nice. put them in back with an inch or inch and a half spacer and they will sit flush to the end. the rims only come in 17x8s, so you cant go too wide on them. however you can squeeze 275s on there and you will be happy with that. i ran 275s on all 4 with 98 cobras on my car with no real issues save that the car was lowered and the front rubbed the splash shields on full turn and bottoming out. car looks good though! i kinda like how the mud flaps are on the car, but not how theyre placed. they look 4x4ish. if you can rearrange them they will probably look good

OH!! also replace your lights in the dash and climate control. they will look WAY...WHEY better than they do now. use either white or blue leds. i have white leds on mine

Fairly certain Ford put these seats in. This car had as little as possible on it's options. Manual Windows/Locks, Cassette Deck, Cloth Interior, V8, 5 Speed. As for the interior lighting, I like the stock appeal so I'll be leaving my dash lights alone :p.

I did just lower it 2 inches and ditch the mudguards and wow does it look so much better

Had the same seats in my 98 when I got it..... Ditched those things pretty quick for a set of Cobeau seats

this car is just like the 94-95 GT S model. Except it was called the 248a in 96. It is a lighter car because it didnt have any of the extras. but looks good so far man!

Fellow 248a guy! Everytime I want to sell it because I have to dump more money, I remember this is the only one I have ever seen in person.

When I bought this car, I was thinking the same thing. It was a trade in at a local cadillac dealer. The kid who had it before me got it from his uncle who was the original owner and the dealer told me he tried to drive it one year through the winter and then traded it in on a jeep cherokee. Means to me that the kid wasn't a car guy and makes me believe even more so that this car was unmolested.

actually it had been repaired once that the carfax reported and they listed the shop that fixed it, so being in the body business I called the shop and got the repair orders on what was fixed. Funny thing about it, the story the dealer gave me was the same story the body shop told me

Seems like they all got their ducks in a row. Lol. Excluding my exhaust, and intake my car is technically all factory. Ford racing parts (OEM) custom svo skirts (OEM part) saleen spoiler (OEM on saleens) OEM cobra bumper. If I had the supercharger I want on the car that's made by svo too so therefore. Stockish. Lol. Also svo mustangs were 84-86 with the 86s being the best year
