Are the lenses in good condition/not foggy? I bought a pair on ebay and the pics didn't show it, but the lenses are pretty severely sun damaged. I would be interested if the lenses are good to go.

if it is the outside that is foggy a quick polish will bring them back to new. You can even use toothpaste. If its foggy inside then that is harder.

Its a bit of both. But the outsides are definitely sun damaged and faded. I took a buffing compound to them heavily and they only barely improved. My next step is a full websand and re-clear. I have some pics in the thread here: https://www.sn95forums.com/threads/help-with-tail-light-restoration.77851/#post-1495186

hand polishing helps but it only goes so far. If you can find a buffing wheel to run them down it would take 5 seconds and the top would look factory fresh.

That was with a buffing wheel unfortunately. Hand drill attachement at least. Running at 2500+ RPM with a plastic polishing compound.
