96 Mustang GT Transmission/Clutch w/ Cobra Trans

I have the BW T45 in my 96GT and am buying a 96-98 Cobra Tremec T45 from eBay. I already ordered the Cobra end brackets to be able to mount it in my GT. Question is regarding the clutch kit. Can I purchase a stock replacement for my GT or do I need to buy the clutch kit for the 96-98 Cobra?

Your gt clutch is what you’ll need. The transmission is the same except for the tail housing.

The cobra has an 8 bolt flywheel, your gt should have 6.

Sure appreciate it. I picked up a pair of cobra end connectors to be able to use my stock cross member.
