I just got a 96 mustang gt. Pi head swap magnaflow xpipe throttle body cold air intake and tune. The guy said it had 80k miles on the whole motor with 02 pi heads. My question is how much power do the heads add with all the bolt ons? What's it like to a stock 96 GT? And is it common for people to rebuild there whole motor when doing this swap? Thanks

I did a pi swap, with oe cams, you are around 230 to 240 ish. With ported heads and cams, I made 300. Dyno numbers are meaningless

PI swapping my 96 was the best thing I did for the car.

When I had ported PI's from Fox Lake, PI Intake and Comp 262AH's that was the most fun I had with my car and I wish I would have left it there.

It ran and ran well.

Then I decided I wanted boost and then I needed a built short block and so on and then it just sat unloved while I saved for this/that and now I don't want it anymore.

I should have left it alone and enjoyed it.

N/A, in my opinion, is more fun because of simplicity. The factory has supplied all items capable of the power level and all the buyer needs is the bolt ons. Yes forced induced gets more fun, but deeper pockets are needed.
