Friend of mine may be selling his longblock from his 97 V6, which I would like to put into my 02. His engine has SSM stage 2 heads and lower intake, as well as a small cam. I would like to put in forged rods/pistons, and use it as a diret swap into mine. What differences are there? Ive thought of the coolant sensor (head vs intake), and the crank (internal vs external balance/2 piece dampener). What other bits?

To be honest, the internal/external bal was the only thing that jumped to my mind. It shouldn't be that hard to drop in, especially with your skill set.

So Ill just hae to use his harmonic balancer- the other thing I jsut thought of was the flexplate. Did those differ?
