So I'm in the process of a PI swap in my 97 and decided to stick with the factory fuel rail and lines to save the headache of swapping to returnless. The problem is that I broke the old fuel line clips (tried to be lazy and cut corners) so I ordered a set of braided lines and..... I'm not sure they're gonna work? Can't look at the car as it's kept about an hour away but I wanna try and least figure out if it has the right ends on it so I can start a return process this week instead of next week if need be. If I could get pictures of someone's fuel lines from end to end and maybe ask a few clarifying questions it should help me keep my peace of mind. thanks all

Yessss that would be the fuel pressure regulator meaning you have the same style I do!!! That's exactly what I need!! Don't feel rushed but if I could get pictures of those I would be so grateful you don't even understand

FYI they stopped producing those factory fuel lines, so very tough to get hold of. You won’t find a new replacement anywhere. I tried to source new and ended up using my original on an ‘04 GT. I was prepping to build one myself in case the original was in tough shape - you’d have to get some specific fittings and line to adapt to the original hard line and fuel rail.

Yeah I've been figuring that out the hardest way possible. Feel dumb for not just doing it right the first time

Dont be afraid to replace with E85 compliant soft lines and hose clamp the components in the same order. I get it, you may want to replace with factory style for simplicity and period correct, but to keep things moving while you find what you need, good stainless hose clamps will do.

Might go this route. Also probably gonna chop up the old ones to rip the regulator out of it but I've also been thinking it might be fine without it?? Cuz from what I understand the regulator outflows what the rail can even handle which would lead me to believe that the rail won't even notice it's not there. But im really not sure

I thought the "regulator" was actually a back flow prevention valve feeding the rails from the pump best known as a one way valve and the regulator is the fuel pressure regulator on the other rail. Both work together to keep pressure present in the rails.... I could be wrong tho
