Nice to be on this forum, thought I would document my build on my 98 GT. This is my 4th SN95. I was convinced I wanted a Cobra so, my last car was a 99 Cobra and I really hated that car. All my other stangs were 2 valves and loved them. The cobra sounded nice and looked nice, but the powerband was too hard to get used too. No low end torque and the damn valve guides were shot so it smoked on startup. How embarrassing, lol! I was going to drop 8 grand and do a full forged rebuild but realized the car was just not worth that kind of money put into it. My old pi swapped 97 felt way faster. Anyways picked up a super clean 98 GT with 140k that I love. Car just needs the pi heads to make me satisfied, cause it lacks power up top. Right now I have o/r h pipe to magnaflows, c&l plenum to bbk 70mm throttle body, k&n cold air intake, heavy duty clutch/flywheel, 3.90 gears with 305 nitto drag radials in back. I pieced together my pi parts over the last month and installing them this weekend, so I'm excited
Windsor rebuild pi heads
bbk shorty headers
windsor valve covers
new water pump, thermostat, coolent hose, nipple
windsor timing cover bolts/studs
ford racing head gasket kit
ford racing pi intake manifold
mmr timing chaing guide/tensioner kit
Mmr flexible dipstick tube
sct BAMA tuner
motorcraft plugs
Poly motor mounts

Welcome to the forums. Kind of surprised by the lack of love for the 4v, but I suppose you can't go wrong with a PI-swapped GT.

What are your intentions for this car? What did you do to the other mustangs? You are building a PI-swap GT, what happened to your other PI-swapped GT? Anyways, keep the pictures coming and keep us updated.

Sold the 97 a long time ago. I have a lot of different cars but the GT is my daily. Intentions are just a fun street car to drive, nothing crazy. Not looking for hp numbers or anything. I don't hate the 4 valve, just not my cup of tea. 4 valve n/a is too expensive to build and a terminator is just too pricey. Always liked the 2 valve, especially for the California streets and traffic.

Thanks bud! Has a few other goodies Eibach springs, adjustable clutch quadrant, short shifter, steeda caster/camber plates, adjustable rear links, so it rides nice. Body and interior are mint.

Today I decided to put my polyurethane motor mounts in because I was having some vibration . I also noticed my engine was sagging and the oil pan was rubbing on my steering rack. Turns out my stock mounts were completely wasted and almost nothing left! This was by far the best mod I have done so far. The car is so amazingly smooth and feels like a completely different new car! I highly recommend this to anyone who is still on the stock mounts. I'm at 140k and mine were toast!

Not usually a fan of green but your car is the exception, very clean. Good to hear about the motor mounts. My 98 is almost at 140K and I just ordered the same mounts.

Green is the best color :)

Nice choice, I just recently decided to stick with my 2V after shopping around for 4V's.
