Congrats on the marriage! We're planning on July of next year

Some people I've talked to about being married have said it's the worst thing they've done and most the other say as long as there is happiness, treat each other equal, and don't hold expectation to one another( I did the garbage, bathroom and laundry, what are you gonna do) always do more for each other. Best advice I have ever gotten. And yes that was from my father-in-law lol.

idunno about the always do more for each other idea just because I felt that way with my last serious g-friend and all she did was keep taking more and more. She woke up one day and asked if I could do her a favor and finish her sheets and towels that she needed for her business that day since I was off. Well sure I was happy to help out and she was soo appreciative for it. 3 months later it was her expectation that I do it and with no appreciation or she would get shitty at me. Depends on the woman for sure, she was just a taker and I am just thankful to have dodged that bullet.

Kept scrolling through Craigslist and found a nice looking hood but had to drive 4 hours to get it lol

So, listed mine for sale and pretty much broke even. ( Before I painted this one and bought new areo cactches) if anyone has these style of hood pins, sorry if I offend you but had to ditch this style didn't like in the least. Wasn't crazy the hood had holes in it but I made dueIMG_20180211_163143854.jpg IMG_20180210_112620244_HDR.jpg IMG_20180210_112954658_HDR.jpg IMG_20180211_194132930_LL.jpg IMG_20180217_112414565_HDR.jpg IMG_20180217_112404896.jpg

I already knew I wasn't gonna use the hood pins so I ordered some areo catches with steel pins. Before I ordered them I measured up the old hood pins to see where the holes would be and how they would cover up the rivet holes from the plates.IMG_20180220_172913199_LL.jpg

IMG_20180304_182751243_LL.jpg

Took the one aero catch and photo copied iit since it didn't come with a template. I placed it where the old plates where the hood pins were and covered up the rivet holes.IMG_20180304_132745216_LL.jpg

I'm really happy I didn't have to cut the under side of the hood! Left it clean, just had to trim the hole a bit bigger for the rubber bumpers for the new pinsIMG_20180304_145740534.jpg IMG_20180304_145342987.jpg

I was able to finally install the mmd hood struts. That was a chore to adapt them.

IMG_20180421_220223163_LL.jpg

Had to pull the bumper off in order to get the car onto the trailer. Decided to polished the bumper
IMG_20180430_194711248_LL.jpg

IMG_20180429_123249023.jpg
Finally got the clutch in... And saw how bad the clutch and pressure plate wasIMG_20180505_171857258.jpg IMG_20180505_171851820.jpg

IMG_20180505_172744204.jpg

And just like that a couple of days later the car was mobile again
IMG_20180506_131013736_HDR.jpg

Once the car was finally mobile again, I decided to put my awesome find in the car. 94/95 black and tan door panels (perferated inserts)

Once I got the car back home, I bought the Ford racing diff brace and the carbon disc clutches.

IMG_20180515_175426060.jpg
And I found out the discs were put in a funny pattern and was thinking that maybe why they wore out so fast.

After a few years with my Steeda triax, it felt great but over time it seemed to get loose and I cleaned the grease out and repacked it and it only seemed to fix the issue for a few weeks. So I was able to find someone of the market place who was wanting to trade his MGW shifter for a Steeda lol uhhhh no brainer there

IMG_20180517_230545148_LL.jpg IMG_20180519_102013130.jpg IMG_20180606_215758370.jpg

Turns out his shifter came with the race handle... I could not get used to it so I bought the standard handle

IMG_20180606_220441972.jpg

And put on my trickflow valve cover on too

After I added all the fun goodies to the car and got enough miles on the clutch for proper break in, I decided to go full throttle with the car....

1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, and 3rd to s*** lol

Car went from 3rd to 2nd and the car saw as much rpms and a Honda s2000 lol....

Limped the car home on 7 cylinders.... And thought I didn't serious internal damage...took a scope and check the inside of the cylinder looks good.... The .pulled the cover off.

IMG_20180525_160631317_LL.jpg

IMG_20180525_174022958.jpg

IMG_20180525_174014308.jpg IMG_20180525_154742863_LL.jpg

IMG_20180525_154733534_LL.jpg

I was able to snap it back into place. Before I started the car I ran a compression test and all 8 cylinders were at 155-160.... Preformed a leak down test... And all checked out. Went to start the car and it was back to normal...

I decided to ad a catch can after the car seemed to be acting funny kinda like it was being choked. Installed my jlt catch can and issue went away

IMG_20180601_220056176.jpg

After having the car running for two months, I have been having this persistent issue with my catch can. The 4oz can would complete fill after 100-150 miles.... Once it filled it would it would be sucked through the throttle body and out the tail pipes.

Made me thing the rings were bad or the valve seats were bad....

Then I pulled the covers off to see how the pcv vents were set up compared to stock.IMG_20180710_202620223.jpg
The left is the trickflow, right stock Windsor cover.

The trickflow pcv opening happens to be further down the side and seemed to directly over the cam lobe. Not to me tion tiny tiny window.

To me made it seem like the love threw the oil onto the cover for the pcv and would just suck any oil through the tiny openings.... Only way to test my theory, was to put the stock cover back on.

GET THIS! As soon as I threw the stock covers back on drove the car for 100 miles.... There were 4 drops of oil in the can, maybe one or two drops still left in the screen and the line.

I went another 3000 miles and the can was 1/4 full.... Hoooorayyyyy

Glad the valve covers made such a difference, weird though lol. I finally realize what your username is, 98 3.8 Stang, though I know you swapped it. I feel so dense haha

After installing the new diff cover, i heard a loud smashing sound out back and just thought it was the pumpkin hitting the bump stop since the back of the car was so low. But ever since I threw these wheels and tires on the car I've always had rub issues even with rolled fenders. Well one day I looked underneath and found the new cover making room with my spare tire wellIMG_20180921_145354010.jpg

Found that I didn't torque the diff cover braces enough as well.

But I took out my BFH and made room...

IMG_20180921_152324931.jpg

Only to find out I only had a 1mm of space with the axle at rode height.

But then noticed my upper axle bushings moving when jacking up the rear end

Bought some solid J&M upper axle bushings. And made did it make a difference in handling, clearance and rubbing

And wanted to use some of the function of my pioneer that doesn't include using the parking brake so I rigged up a button to hide in the cigarette lighter.

Since I'm using the 94/95 shifter bezel it had the hideaway flap, I thought it would be a nice place to put the button. When I hit the flaps, it flips the circuit so I can use the other functions as intended.
