Hi guys!
It must be like 2 years since ive last posted on the forum but Im an old member and have always enjoyed being part of it. I live in Cochamba, Bolivia which is in South America and I have a rio red 94 mustang gt convertible. My dad bought it new back in 94 when we still live in the states and we moved down here around 97. My dad gave it to me as a present in 06 as a highschool graduation gift.
Well for the last 2 years I lost interest in the stang, mainly cause it would always fail on me, overheating was the big issue and I never could fix it good so I could never enjoy driving it and it was a pain in the a$$ always. I have now a 2014 kia rio manual 6 speed as a daily but I miss the feel of a V8. My stang has been stored almost a year and half. I tried selling it but people wanted to pay to little and all my friends convinced me of not doing it cause I would regret it in the future. They are right because mustangs are really rare down here especially V8s so I decided im going to keep it and give her the attention she needs jeje.
As much as I love turbocharged and supercharged engines, I think it will be hard to tune them down here as we dont have specialist who can do it, I have a bunch a friends with subarus and evos but those cars come with turbo from factory so its easier to tune them.
To avoid issues on the build in the future I guess its better to go N/A so what do you guys suggest me to build? Im looking of the 350-400 hp range, dont know if to go stroker with a 331 or 347, high flow heads and intake, big cam (have a tfs1 now), 4.10 gears, rebuild my transmission cause 3rd gear is grinding and I dont know what else I will need.. of course $$$$
The build would be kind of slow cause it will be expensive to import all the parts but I got the time. For now I want to focus on the engine mods and have it running nice, then the exterior mods will come which for now I have it covered.
Sorry for making the thread so long but all your opinions will be very helpful for me so lets start with the ideas!! :headbang:
