Air smells like gas

I hardly ever use my air, but whenever I have someone else in the car I will run it if it is hot out. When I run it, it has a rather potent gas smell to it. Would this be because of my exhaust leak or because I'm running rich?

If you have an exhaust leak under the hood AND it's running rich I would say both.

or your evap sensor on your car couldnt be funtionig properly like mine wasnt

if you have a strong ex leak than yes, you suck air in around the cowl, try using the max a/c because that recirculates the air in the cabin instead of taking in outside air. O0

I'll give that a try some time.
