Airbag code 12

Hello everyone ,

I'm in need of some help. I have a 1998 Gt that has the airbag code 12 ...
was wondering if anyone else had the issue and how did they resolve it

Ok then yeah you’ll have to look around for bad grounds, battery or alternator.

Sometimes the sensors just go bad or rust through. My 95 always had airbag lights on and if you looked at the sensors they were in horrible shape. Talked to a few others who have had the sensors just fail after so many years.

The sensor are mounted to the front core support. They look like little cubes and have a white harness. Take a look at them and the wire harness and see if you can see anything that looks bad. Sometimes just disconnecting them and reconnecting will clean the contacts enough to show where the problem is when it goes away.
