alright, today im picking up the pedals and shifter boot and console piece for my 5 speed swap! Just need like 3 more things:

Clutch
Cable
Firewall adjuster:

So far, this is what i have:

Trans
Harness
shifter
Pedals
shifter boot
Lower shifter boot ( gonna use it off the T-5 I have)
Throwout Bearing
Throwout fork
flywheel
All Misc Nuts and bolts

Anything else i may be missing? Im gonna go with a King Cobra clutch, and resurface the flywheel i have. Im gonna leave the stock shifter on for now, later im gonna get a MGW. Anything i should be aware of while performing the swap? I know maybe a few people here have done it, maybe you guys can offer me some tips or so. I read that i might have to cut the floor in order for the lower shifter boot to fit....how much do i cut? Also, i just got a brand new trans mount for the automatic when i first ran the car, is the trans mounts and crossmembers the same? Can i still use the auto driveshaft?

Thanks guys!

Should i really invest in an aluminum quadrant? I was gonna get the adjustable cable kit and aluminum quadrant from ford racing...

hehe, sorry, I wish I had time to read every thread.
Sounds like you've about got it.
rewire the reverse light, and you've got the right speedo gear?

I have the trans harness....why would i need to rewire the reverse light?
what does the shifter fork look like?
the manual speedo gear is different from the auto speedo gear? I could get that from the dealer along with the shift fork right?

ya the gears are different.

the reverse lights sender is just in a different spot, I'm not sure if the plug is the same.

The fork - I'm no manual expert, but the cable hooks to it, and it presses the throwout - you follow?
do you have one?

I think they call that the throwout fork...lol

I do have the handle for the shifter though.

Is there like a metal piece that goes under the lower boot? the one that seals out the noise and heat?

it doesnt matter to me which one you use, you just dont want to try and use a FW adjuster with the stock quadrant.

I was looking around MGW's website and came across that ring....

I pretty much just got all my parts locally, i picked up the pedals from a 96 Cobra vert.

Ill call the dealer today and see if i can get it.

Almost there!
