alternater....

so i currently have an '01 bullitt engine in my car and the alternater needs to be replaced. is it possible to use any alternater off of a 4.6 or do i need a specific one because of the motor.

well ur motor is a 4.6, so im sure any 4.6 as long as its the right year should be fine.

actually i think you might need a different one, because youve got the bullitt intake.

has to do with the placement of the alternator becuasei t can interfere with the intake...i think you need a differnet one.


but the easy way to find out is go to advance auto parts website and look for a bullitt alternator, then search for another year 4.6 alternator and compare the part numbers. O0

You need the one specific to the Bullitt so it fits with your intake setup...i think they are thinner cases and reversed.

There basically a Cobra Alternator.. just thinner than the GT one.
