Aluminum Driveshaft

When i eventually build up my rear with moser 31 spline axles and an eaton posi rear diff, i wanted to also throw in an aluminum drive shaft. Problem is, everywhere i find them they "only fit 5 speed manuals". Does anybody know where to find driveshafts that fit 97 GT autos??? thanks guys

Dont you just change the end that goes into the tranny with your old one?

You buy the 5 sp unit then put your auto yokes on and install.

is it worth doing this while redoing the rear or should i not even bother?

go for it, its a better quality part then stock and reduces rotating mass...get a driveshaft safety loop installed while you are having the shaft out.
