OK goes so im in the market for some custom wheels. i cant get this offset stuff correct. Im stumped. Ok so we all know Greg from facebook with the red (96-98) gt on XXR 531. I based all of my calculations on his setup. I am looking into getting 18x9 and 18x11

Work Wheels standard fitment of the sn95:
18x9 +20
18x10.5 +28

My calculation of gregs set up:
18x8.5 +20mm; lip=3.46 b.s.=5.037
18x11 +20mm; lip 4.71 b.s.=6.287
since he has a 5/16" spacer, i tried to do a conversion and came up with 18x11 +28mm lip= 4.40 b.s.=6.6

what i came up with to have a "flush" look is
18x9 +25mm lip=3.5157 b.s.=5.48
18x11 +28mm (with no spacer) lip=4.4 b.s. 6.6

i was messing around with the calculations a little more and came up with this. based on the 18x11 +20mm with a 5/16" spacer

i can get a 18x11 -1mm with a lips of about 5.02 and b.s. of 5.97.

I was just wondering what people think? am i doing this right?

do you have any pictures of what a 18x9 +20mm or +24mm look in the front? and a 18x11 +28mm in the rear?

Thanks guys.

do you have pictures so i can see??? and spacers will subtract from the offset correct? for example +22 with a 5/16" will actually have an offset of approx +14-15mm offset right?? if so then i have to redo all my dam calculations..LOL

94-95 have a different spindle up front. A wheel you are looking at will sit flush with a 96-98 car, but the 94-95 will stick out.

They all have the same bolt pattern. If you took my wheel. Its an authentic ford racing fr500. With 24mm offset and it is an 18x9. I test fit my wheel on a 94 gt and a 95 gt. Both were never hit no body damage. My cars h&r springs. One had ford b spring, And the other had eibach.

They wanted to see how my wheel looked on their cars. By comparison, the wheel seemed to sit approx. 1/8 to 1/4 out compares to when the wheel was back on my car. Another buddy with a 96 gt put on a 98 cobra wheel from his car on to the guy with the 95 gt and they sat different. Meaning it sat out a tiny bit further on the 95 than the 96....

thats weird.. i called CCW and it seemed as if the fitment is the almost the same for 94-04. They told me wheels from an 03 cobra will fit the same on my 94.

I really don't see how the spindle will change the length. . Arms same length k member same length. . The only difference I thought wad the mounting point for the tie rods..

My front is a 18x9 +22 and as you can see isnt anywhere near flush. Im going to run a 12mm spacer which should bring it flush for an effective +10 offset. An 18x11 would probably need somewhere between a +10 and +15 offset to be flush. The only way to know for sure though is to go out and measure
