T-45=crap. I didn't heed everyones warnings to get a shifter with stops and broke a shift fork a few months after I got my cobra. I talked to the guy at the transmission shop and he used to have a 96 like mine, and he said he went through 3 of the T-45s before upgrading to a REAL tremec. Plus you can't speed shift them for anything. I was used to leaving my foot on the gas through a shift

thats what I have in my Cobra now..........when it goes I will upgrade to a tremec

The T45 is made by Tremec. Treme3c bought out Borg Warner in mid 1996. They didn't make any changes to the design until 98 when they upgraded the reverse lockout.

Reverse lockout is just the thing that prevents you from going from 3rd to reverse
