Thanks

do you mean they are a factory cobra wheel ? Any idea what year car they would have been on ?

yes got all 4 , the rears are 17 x 10.5 and the fronts are 17 x 8

the rears have 315/35/17 tyres on so hopefully they won’t be too big

any idea what the best size tyre for the fronts would be ?

I need to measure the backspacing too

Factory would be bright chrome, those look to have been painted or some other coating. Perhaps it is just the lighting and dirt.

315/35x17 on a 10.5” rear will fit. I have the same on my ‘95 Cobra.
The 17x8 fronts? Not sure but my 17x9 fronts have 275/40’s, so you’re likely gonna be narrower.
Go to Nitto.com and punch in 17x8. It’ll tell you what sizes fit

Thanks for the replies

I measured the backspacing

The 17 x 10.5’s have 7.25” backspacing and it says + 27 offset on the back of them , so hopefully the 315/35/17’s should fit ok without any rubbing ? Pretty sure my car has been jacked up at the rear in the past as it looks higher than stock , see below pics

The 17 x 8 fronts have 5” backspacing , the offset on the back says 12 but I can see a plus or minus

haven’t bought tyres for the front yet but I’m thinking 245/45/17’s just to be safe , you think all these combos work ?

Here’s my current wheels which are 18’s they are going on my Charger

also any idea what style lug nuts I need for those Cobra wheels ?

Thanks

There was one time I was wondering if your car had some strange European suspension system or if the motor was out of it.

I double checked on the Nitto website. You’re spot on with the 245/45. Even a 255 is too big, shown as requiring a 17x9” wheel. So the 245/45 appears to be the maximum.

Please post pix when they’re on!
