I am currently trying to decide on which catback to get, youtube isn't helping too much.
I can't find anyone with the Pypes setup, found one close, with O/R H and the m80s. As for the SLP setup, can't find anyone with the LMII and and H, they all run Xs.

I already have my O/R H, now I just need to get a catback.
Looking for anyone with a 2v with either the Pype Bomb setup or LM IIs.
That is the general direction of sound I am looking for.
LM 1s are just obnoxious, but I don't want to be exactly quiet either.

I was initially going to go with SSS terminators...til I realized they didn't make them for the 94-98.

I ran them with an H on my 06 and LOVED them.

So I was hoping someone would have either setup or a sound clip or any real firsthand knowledge of a good setup. In the same range.
I am trying to hold back on Magnapacks...a little pricey for some bullets and piping...then again aren't they all.

I was thinking about just weld ins. But how is the stock piping?
I know my 3v was 2.5 all the way back.
I could just get mufflers and some tips, bigger tips throw a bit more DB right?

They have that deep throaty sound. I guess add some 3.5 tips and I'd be golden.

Thanks for giving me another idea!!

Yeah, that's what I figured...that would be an odd exhaust setup.
2.25 then 2.5, then 2.25 then the 3.5 tip.
Sounds like an odd bottleneck.

I may have to just bite the bullet for better flowing piping.

But those Magnapacks do sound really good.
I can get the full system for $600.

or u can get fox tailpipes that flow with our bumpers and are 2.5" weld 3.5" tips and install 2.5" mufflers. You would probably save money this way.

Thanks again!
I didn't think about that, I know many catbacks fit 86-97 so yeah the tailpipes would work.
Then just grab the mufflers.

I'll look into that as well.
Question, do you know an exact place to find the ones with the 3.5 tips?
Most I know of are just 2.5 all the way.

Fox tails dont come with 3.5 tips. You would have to weld them on. They are only $20-25 each. Summit racing will have everything u need.

OK thank you.
I figured after a day of looking that I'd have to do tips regardless.

I've noticed that my choosing an H really hurt me on youtube searching.
Most all setups of any catback are with X pipes.

I made a choice 3 GTs ago, that I am an H man.
I love my deep burbling exhaust.
Apparently, I'm an oddball.

Well general consensus is x tends to favor a more exotic sound.
H tends to be a tad quieter and favors a more traditional American V8 sound.
I personally, don't care for them. Nothing against them, but I can't say if it's the catbacks people mate them with, but they come off as overly raspy to me.

For example there are plenty of people 2,4, and 3v that run the x pipes. Many Longtube setups have only the mating X.

When I was doing my exhaust on my 3v, I personally thought it was a little higher pitched with an x.
So I ended up with an O/R H and SSS Terminators.
A sound I'm having difficulty replicating on my 2v.

It was deep all the way to redline, even at wot. Not as deep as normal driving, but no matter the situation held a type of deepness.
It just sounded nice and deep and throaty. Loved it.

For the 2v, I am leaning heavily towards magnapacks, its the closest I can find. But You tube has 2-3 vids with an H, the rest are X, longtube and X, catted, or stock midpiped.
And the vids I found are just starts, and revs, no actual drive bys.
So maybe it's shame on me for liking the tone given off by the H, but It's the sound I prefer.
