Thought my pullies may be out of alignment but the seem pretty matched up. Looking to see if i should really need to change the tensioner out I am almost certain that is the issue. My dad thinks that we can change the springs in the stock on an it should make a noticeable difference. Thumper tensioner are a little expensive
When mine was out of alignment I used two 8x12 framing squares one inbetween the blower and pulley the other on the alternator and pulley, they should line up if they don't move some shims around. Even if it's in alignment you can still throw the belt if your belts too long put the shortest belt you can get on it.
After I went with a shorter belt I never threw the belt and I was running the upgraded steel arm tensioner from ford.
I went with the thump racing tensioner when I did the overdrive crank pulley but I still have the other tensioner if you'd be interested.
No its a Ford tensioner part # F8ZE-6B209-BB don't remember what I paid for it but Google search came up with a $250-$300 new price.
