Are gears worth it in non pi stangs?

I say it a lot: Gears = best feel-for-money mod there is.

FRPP is the only way to go, trust me. Go with them, that's all we have ever used, even in our racecars. Think about it, they're the ones that designed the original gears, the rear ends they go into, the axles they turn, everything. I'd stick with the people that created them in the first place..

Did any of you AOD guys have to change shift points with your gears? Or can you go WOT in "D" and shift without hitting the rev limiter? And how easy/hard is it to change this speedo gear? Just pull the guage bezel out and there it is? Or is there more to it?

I have the stock option 3.27 gears. Not so sure I want to swap those out. I run out of gear quickly at 3.27. And I plan to build up my bottom end then a 14psi pully and maybe spray to boot. I just can't see going steeper. I already spin through 1st and 2nd.

If I do swap, it will be no more than a 3.55 gear. :pimp2:

Without forced induction I would recommend 3.73 for manuals and 4.10 for autos.
