August 2013 - ROTM - White95

A special thanks goes out to TMI Products for their on-going support for the ROTM contests!!!!
Hopefully White95 can use his winnings to go towards a bad-ass interior for his build. :-D

Check out his build thread here:

And, without further ado, your August ROTM winner!!!!!!!!

White95

Thank you guys for the nomination and the surprising victory! I simply cannot believe my ride even had a chance compared to the amount of workmanship in this months ROTM contest.

What can you get for a couple grand and a set of 20's? Why, a mostly stock 1995 Mustang GT!!

I bought this car back in August of 2006, after years of wanting a white '95 to build my own spin on the '95 Cobra R. For a few years it was my faithful daily driver. In that time, I met my good friend Benjy Burns who has been a mentor (and voice of reason) during the course of this journey.. At one point, I swapped vehicles with my (late) father for work reasons and he nerely destroyed the motor for me. Little did I know, he "fixed" a leaky thermostat gasket by forgetting to put the new gasket in place. Two head gaskets, a new radiator and an e303 cam later, I had my car back!! After that happened, I lucked up and met the REAL driving force behind this project: my soul mate and beautiful wife Tiffiny!!! (@Fire&Spice) If it wasn't for her, I would have NEVER gone this far with my '95. I'd also be driving a competition orange Mach 1 BUT that’s a different story. Soon after, it was parked due to a personal injury. In that time, we swapped in a fresher 302 with ported E7 heads an E303 cam and an Explorer intake. That combo net me an earth shattering 243/298!!! Soon after that, we bought my wife her first ‘stang, her 2005 GT that some of you know well. Oh, my fresher 302 lasted about 6 months until the oil pump failed and chewed the bearings up effectively killing that motor. That was October 18, 2009 which also happened to be the day I proposed to my wife. She has spurred me throughout this build to “do it right the first timeâ€, “buy that next partâ€, "upgrade this" or "we can eat next week, buy that IRS". She is truly my best friend!!! What started to be a low mile, terminator swap ended up becoming a forged bottom end 410w built with a FRPP race block. I knew things were outta hand when I spent my initial budget on the short block. LOL... I've personally put maybe 4 miles on my car since then and the Unicorn has been in Benjy’s possession since September 25, 2010. However, this is all about to change.. Like, for real this time…

White,

my favorite part about your build is the N/A power plant.... big-cubes are quickly becoming a thing of the past -- well done on keeping the legend alive!

Good Job, congrats on your win.

These ROTM votes don't get nearly as many as they used to.

Congrats and looking good! Your progress gives my garage full of parts something to look forward to :)

Man, it takes a lot of patience and proper planning to fully redo a car. Both of which I've lacked at points but I've decided I'm not gonna throw in the towel on this one.

Thanks Chris!! I have plans for a new, free breathing HCI combo to really unlock my motors potential. I have left about 50 or so HP on the table. My current setup would transform a smaller bore 331-347-351w into a screamer but not quite enough to feed 410 cu in.
