I tried searching axle codes but didn't come up with anything. Is there a sticky or does someone have them by chance?

I know when I had my 97 Mountaineer & 97 Cougar D before the numbers meant traction lock. I'm assuming the same applies to Mustangs. I still have a Chilton's manual for the 89-97 Cougar/T-Bird but I don't know if the axle codes are the same for Mustangs.

L means locker. For example; 3L73 would be 3.73 ratio with a traction lock. 3.73 with no locker would be 3 73

I should have explained it differently. I'm talking about the axle code on the door tag. My '97 Mountaineer was D4 for limited slip 3:73.
