This was my car it used to be faded dark red. Sold it to a friend about a decade ago. He literally just gave the car back to me with a ton of parts. I haven’t had anything to play with for a while and I’m stoked to be back in the game.

currently trying to decide what direction to go.

Current bigger mods 430 gears, aode shift kit, shorty header, cobra intake, cold air, wideband 02, nos wet shot 150. Car runs 315 on back so it hooks fairly good but just isn’t that fast.

Parts I can use for free Paxton novi 2000, intercooler, world product 202 heads, Anderson pms tuner, 347 stroker kit needs pistons. Have notched block and crank and rods.

Funds are limited but I have all this free stuff at my disposal. I could just keep it like is also. It’s not perfect but fun little car to drive and fairly reliable and less expensive to go that route.

There is something to be said about "It’s not perfect but fun little car to drive and fairly reliable and less expensive to go that route."

But I like mine to be faster as well. With all the years I have been playing with these cars, I car see what down the road looks like, but I am trying to start simple. Supercharging is my go to first.

I built a rear for a good friend that had a 302. We went with 4.56’s, he had a t5 and drag raced a lot. Little 200 hp engine would pull the front tire and got 26 mpg on the interstate.
T5 yes, I could see for drag racing only, but not much use for it on the street.
302, AOD, and 4.30s has to be damn near unbearable on the street, and pretty nuts at any highway speeds. You'd have to have a tall tire. All that is assuming the AOD holds up.

Aode and t5 have almost the same overdrive ratio. .67 and .68 respectively, he ran a 28” tire and daily drove the car, even on the interstate.

It’s definitely not a highway cruiser lol but it’s not bad at all around town which is basically all it’s used for.
